I posted in another thread earlier about these jokers but have just had an email from them regarding a steam key I bought that didn't work. I've sent them screenies of it not working and they're suggesting that I *might* get a refund (after they've spoken to their supplier) but only in the form of store credit. They go on to say that if I want a refund to my paypal account, I'll need to pay a fee of £1!

After it took them 3 days to answer me at all there's no way I'm buying from them again so I don't want store credit - did I miss a memo though and it's suddenly become OK to charge a fee for a refund on duff goods??

IMO CJS is one of THE worse CD Key suppliers. Seen so many horror stories with them, if you're reading this, good!

Sorry to hear what happened though and hopefully it can be sorted quickly.

Yeah done it - I was going to complain to Trading Standards about the fee for a refund too until I found they were registered in Belize. Lesson learned I guess.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them, Ive used them on a number of occasions in the past without issue.

They're terrible.

Pre-ordered a GTAV Steam key from them.

Days before release, they changed it to a Rockstar Social Club key without telling me directly via email, instead they suspiciously deleted every trace of them offering Steam keys; from social media platforms and their online store.

Then on top of that, they changed it to say you had to pay extra to get pre-order bonuses (???).

At that point I tried to get a refund. A week later and still no reply from their ticket system. I tried posting on their Facebook page to just get some info, but they deleted my comment (along with many other people's messages regarding the same exact issue).

Anyway I finally got an refund second time round by sending them another email, they replied almost instantly in fact.

I've had smoother experiences dealing with dodgy Russian key re-sellers before in the past :p

I'll not go anywhere near them.

I had issues with them a while back. They claimed a virus or misconfiguration on my computer has prevented their server from working properly and giving me an in-stock key!

Although they eventually refunded the money for the game, it became apparent they were not going to refund my £1 paypal fee so I gave up. Total up all the £1 fees for failed transactions and they must be making a mint!

How do they get their keys anyway? Surely their not from the manufacturers themselves?

Who knows - they said they needed to confirm with their supplier before they'd concede that the key I was sold was used (despite me sending them screenshots of my steam library, inventory and the error message I got when I tried to redeem it).

They were sending me contradictory messages before I raised a claim with Paypal - in one email they said I'd have to pay a fee to get my money back, when I asked "are you telling me that I have to pay a fee to get a refund on a faulty code you sold me?" they backtracked and said no, before going back to saying exactly the same thing again. This feels like they're misleading customers deliberately to keep your money but backing off when directly challenged so they don't incriminate themselves in writing.

I got banned from social media interaction with them due to their sneaky methods of false advertisement, or rather my questioning of it.

I have bought from them without problem in the past, but i wouldn't do it again.

I decided to not give these companies my custom. If they can't provide anything to show they obtained keys legally, I prefer not to take the chance. If it's cheap, its normally for a reason.

Can you lodge a paypal dispute? I know it takes a little longer but you should then recieve your full value back without the silly $1 fee.

I have had 2 bad keys out of 2 purchases from them so i no longer buy from them. I have had a lot of success with their competitors such as cd keys.
