CJs CD-Keys

If you use Paypal it's quite easy to get it refunded. If it never arrived or isn't exactly what you paid for it's an easy win.

These sites are ok if your after slight older games, which you can get for pocket change but are still a higher price on Steam. But buying newly released AAA titles from them is risky since theres a much higher chance of dodgyness.

How do they get their keys anyway? Surely their not from the manufacturers themselves?

Thru "methods" :p

I've bought from CJ's in the past and would continue to do so, until they tried accusing me of attempting to defraud them.

My Guildwars 2 key was banned within days, I raised this to Arena net. they had a few questions and then advised me that the key i had bought was originally purchased through their own store using a stolen/defrauded CC.

I sent this to CJ's and they weren't interested, accusing me of trying to steal from them, I did finally get my money back but it wasn't easy. HAd they just apologised and refunded me I wouldn't have been too bothered as in the end I didnt really get on with the game haha but their complete ignorance and horrendous customer service made it many time worse.

So they use random sources, sometimes without even validating the keys it seems.

Won't go anywhere near them after that and I suggest others avoid these clowns also.
There's plenty key resellers now

This is why I use PayPal wherever possible, its so easy to lodge a complaint if things go sour and more often then not if the seller doesn't admit fault and deal with it before PayPal get to it, they tend to side with the buyer.

Personally, I've only ever used cdkeys, G2A or Kinguin. Never had an issue with any of them.
