CL Qualifiers - 3rd rnd, 1st Leg *spoilers*

Dinamo Kiev 1 - 0 Celtic
Aberdeen 1 - 5 Sigma Olomouc
Steau Bucharest 3 - 0 Motherwell
Vaduz 2 - 0 Falkirk

Lol @ Scottish football :p

add up all the wages/transfer budgets of each of those teams. bet you it doesnt hit the same as 1 championship team. So ofc scottish football is going to be lower quality.

edit: oh and apparently if you take out Celtic and Rangers, and add up all the (Edit) values of players in the SPL it is £20million less than Ronaldo :D

True, but I wonder what the wage bills of Sigma Olomouc or Vaduz from the mighty Lichtenstein are... :p

I'm going to guess higher than Aberdeens :p
Sigma could afford to spend 750,000 euros on a player (Daniel Rossi). When was the last time Aberdeen could afford anywhere near that sort of money on 1 player? I can only think of 1 player in the history of Aberdeen that was signed for more money than that.

Aberdeen can't even afford to spend £20,000 on a player, they have zero cash.

idd. and with the fallout from Setanta's collapse, they are going to have £0 to work with for a while, as well as most of the other SPL teams

yeah but the other teams wouldnt listen to Rangers Celtic and Aberdeen last time round they saw setantas money and grabbed at it and now thats come back to bite them. no wonder sky and espn bid so low then knew they would have to take it.

I know, I didn't say anything about that, I was just reinforcing the point that scottish teams will have no money, I wasn't arguing for/against the Setanta deal itself.

Celtics 2nd leg has kicked off behind the Red Button for those at home, on on the BBC website for those on the go.

Probably on BBC Scotland too.

Oh my, no chance now for The Daily Ranger to display a cracked crest on it's front page. As Celtic have shown, we are very resilient in Europe and even if we get McRod's favoured tie, I still have hope of reaching the CL.

Job well done Celtic.

Only got to catch the last 30mins after work.

Brown looked great when he came on, played very well pushed a bit further up field.

Mowbray obviously knows best, as I was on a bit of a downer when I saw Samaras coming on in place of skippy. Georgios took his goal really well, took some time and skill before producing a great finish away from the keeper, it seemed to take freaking ages to hit the back of the net. Which made the celebrations all the sweeter.

Didn't see Dinamo threaten us at all in the period of the match I got to watch.

Anyway a nice little bonus result which I didn't really expect us to get.

Eddie :D

Last time C*ltic went through after losing 1st leg at home in Europe?

Last time C*ltic won away from home in Europe?

Last time C*ltic scored twice in a game away from home in Europe?

Last time C*ltic scored away from home in any game?

Last time C*ltic scored in any competitive game?

I know i know. :D

Quoting for GIRFUY:D

Who are the seeded teams for the next round exactly?

Obviously I think Celtic would be more than happy to get Sporting Lisbon, they looked rotten and were very lucky to beat FC Twente, what are you guys thinking?
