Clay bar advice

The mesh side of the Megs wash mit works wonders for removing tar/bugs/sap. If it doesn't come off with that and a normal hot/warm shampoo then the clay bar it would have to be.

Would clay bar remove, say all of the crap (well dead bugs and bits of pigeon) from the front end of a car that practically lived on the motorway for a year?
