Cleaning cpu

IPA Is a god send :) Can be used for so many other electronics as well. I frequently clean my earphones with it and a toothbrush keeps the sound clear if there is any unwanted..... bodily candles in there.

I use neat isopropyl alcohol also, bought from eBay for about £5 I think. I've had the bottle easiily 2 years and it's only half gone. Once you see how effortlessly IPA removes heatsink compound, nothing else will compare.

I used to use Akasa TIM cleaner, but I dislike how slowly it dries and leaves a greasy film. I used to have to wipe across the cleaned area with something dry to dry it off, which isn't always ideal.

Use isopropyl alcohol myself. Got a bottle on the bay comes with a spray plunger lid. Makes a neat little flame thrower for those looking for something multi functional.

You've tried lighter fluid right? £1 for all you'll ever need. Just make sure it's 100% naptha.

It cuts through things with ease and evaporates before your eyes.

The missus was struggling to get a safety sticker off an ikea blind and was scrubbing and picking with a sponge and detergent for ages with zero sign of it ever coming off.

I just batted her "dangerous" comment away and the lighter fluid shifted the sucker in seconds.

You've then got some actually useful lighter fluid leftover as well. :D

Wouldn't spend £5 to clean cpus
