Cleaning CPU's

Acetone is OK but aggressive, careful you don't get it on any plastic parts (it can soften the PCB too)

IPA (isopropyl or rubbing alcohol) is ideal. If you've still got any little bottles of Tape Head Cleaner, it's probably this (anyone remember what a Cassette Tape was??)

At a push, strong (ethyl) alcohol will work - Vodka or any clear spirit is best, ideally 40%+
