Mineral oil should be fine and it's cheap... it's not conductive anyway.

i was just about to say, what have you got to lose. then I had a cup of tea and thought, what a useless line that would be .

would be an idea, and if you had a PSU jumper to leave the unit running whilst your in the house on a surge protector socket :D

So normal coolants can be used, result!

Not for the inside, the outer block and loop is just like a standard block taking the heat away from the fluid but the inside fluid flows freely over the components and is separated from the outside loop... So specifically the stuff inside which the OP drained out is not something available these days, hence mineral oil seeming like the only thing I can think of.

We might be able to get hold of some more internal fluid but depends on what it is, We have some Perflurocarbon and some Fluorinert but it all depends on what they used on the inside as it may have been some thing as simple as Pure Mineral oil.
