Not in any way a medical thread.

I have quite 'clicky' joints - if I rotate my wrists/shoulders/neck or move my legs/knees I 'click' quite a bit. When I stretch my arms, I get a good crackle and pop! My left elbow cracks like a dry branch being snapped, especially in the middle of the night!! It doesn't hurt, if anything it's quite satisfying!

My good lady says I'm just not right, but oh well :/

Anyone else 'clicky' and enjoys it? What does cause it?

I can click my fingers an unlimited amount of times, i just flex them and they're ready to click again. Left ankle and my knees as well, but not constant.

The one you mentioned with the elbow, is it when you straighten your arm and hyper-extend it a bit and then it makes a crunchy crack noise? If so both mine do that.

Also if I twist my wrist it cracks every single time without fail.

Yeah - that, although it's only my left one that does it with out fail! My wrists graunch and grind as opposed to crack tbf.

Im pretty sure its caused by rapid deflation of bubbles within the synovial joints as you click

ps3ud0

Might be, i think there was something about hyperfelxion of a tendon or ligament causing gasesous bubble product, these then pop, thus a sound.
But.... Some of my joints feel odd after a while, and unless i click or pop it, it just doesnt feel right, not sore, not an itch, but annoying like an itch.

I wish i didnt do this.
Very rarely when i do a big wide yawn, i will get a click from the middle of my sternum on the stretch, and that damn joint it meant to be fused totally by my age, I really have never understood that click.

Maybe it's a build up of the gas you mention and so there's pressure there? I'm no expert but it makes sense. Also could just me your mind, after all for some people it is a habit.

My back clicks every time I activate my boxing stance or twist my back. My wrists also click permantly and so do my legs almost every time I move.

Luckily, I quite enjoy the sound :D

I used to have very clicky wrists before I got married. Work that one out...

Now my ankles often click when walking down steps.

I get this when i squat/kneel/crouch as my knees click loudly. Hurts occasional and cant kneel for long without pain...

Was advised as above, that it's to do with the fluid in the joints :(

i've had certain joints click since i was 16 and always used to click them. i remember someone telling me it would cause arthritis in later life but i believe this is bs and as others have said, it air being released, not so much bone grating togethor.

When I extend my right arm fully the elbow makes a loud click. Also my right wrist clicks if I make a fist and my bones in my right hand click if I make a fist.

Also, annoyingly, both of my feet click when I first get up after sitting down for a while, so every time I get up at work my first 2 steps go "Click, Click". I wonder if anyone else has noticed this.
