Hi, I want to clock my AMD processor, just a little bit as it will be my first time. I have a stock cooler, but a cold room, so my temps are quite low.
I was wondering, what frequency and voltage i should use to try and clock to around 2.7 - 2.8. Currently at 2/5ghz
Kind regards Ben
Can you post screenies of the CPU, memory and SPD tabs of CPUZ so that we can see your current settings?
Those temps are probably wrong
That's colder than the temperature outside!
Contrary to what others say, I would conject that that is possible (if unlikely) if using a heatpipe cooler. A heatpipe is pretty much a passive phasechange loop. And folks also forget the fan subjects the heatsink to windchill.
They do look a bit hectic though.
My 5600 @ stock under an Asus SilentKnight II idles at 25-28ish.
