I was thinking of cloning my whole hard drive to another drive which will then be detached & put to one side.
I've never used cloning software before (& will have to look into what software I'd need), but obviously I'd want to be able to boot from the cloned backup should my main hd die.
Now the question is....using the cloning software, can I clone more than one (main bootable system) hd (From different machines) onto one single hd?
If so Would I need to partition the `backup` hd for each main hd I want to clone?
Would I be able to boot from any of the cloned backups? (for relevant machine)
Then again I supposed I wouldn't need to boot from the backup, just re-clone back again using another machine.
(don't want to be buying a backup hd for every machine if possible)
TIA..Andy.
