Hey guys,
I have 2 80GB Sata hard drives on a RAID 0 at the moment. I made a image of this using active boot disk after installing all my apps that i need etc. . . I am planning to buying a Solid State Drive from here, would i be able to put my cloned image onto this new disk? Or would it cause problems?

In theory yes, would be just like cloning any other drive. Which OS would you be using, Vista/7 should just pickup new drives pretty well (incl Raid).

Its windows 7, i thought that because the original clone is from a Raid 0 it might have been written differently when cloned...and that when cloning onto a non raided SSD it might work different?

As far as I'm aware, that shouldn't make a difference. Windows still only 'sees' the Raid as one physical drive, so everything should just be as normal.

Having said that Win 7 doesn't really take too long to install (at least compared to XP) and should very quick on an SSD, so if you have time, may be worth doing it anyway.

I have a nice clean image of it, i just wanted to be sure that i wont **** it up by cloning it. But your right, it will be nice to see how fast things install ;-)
