Closed cockpit F1

Yeah, because they'll permanently seal the drivers in the car with these canopies. They've really never thought about ways to get them off.

Christ almighty.

No, your right, theres loads of details on how the FIA plan to get them off, and none of the drivers have said they don't like it because they might get trapped.

Christ almighty.

have people been hit by wheels before ?

i mean massa got hit by a sharp and heavy spring doing 140 didnt he ? and was ok'ish , does it get much worse than that ?

theres plenty of other motorsports for people who think F1 is too dangerous . i dont think changing the sport completley is really needed .

where does the 'safety' stop anyway ? what about closed cockpit motoGP on tracks made out of marshmallows

Senna's fatal injury was caused by a front wheel coming back at him and impacting on his head. Vittorio "The Monza Gorilla" Brambilla got brained by a wheel in the crash that led to Ronnie Peterson dying. Others have had similar accidents over the years. It's rare, obviously. But certainly not unprecedented.
