Closing Ceremony & Olympic Inspiration

I have lots of compassion to those who's family's go through these terrible ordeals, including my own but no way he's more important than everyone else who goes through the same thing.

Those people get to grief in private, and not have to perform in front of 1 billion plus people

I can't win!

Not pride. I don't believe that we're more important or a greater country than France because we beat them in a few sports.

Sure, we may have better athletes in some sports than other countries. And the people involved should be proud. But for me? Is that a reflection on our country? No.

I think your missing the meaning of pride. Its not about thinking your better than others. Its about being proud to be who you are.

No one said he was. You've completely missed the point. Most people have time off work to get over such a terrible ordeal, yet he's performed in front of a possible audience of a billion people...

Whoever said that it was their job about Gary Barlow, you are so wrong; anyone losing a child then it's all bets off. It is losing a child, it's not anything else, it's a baby. You have to give birth, the same as everyone else, but then you have to bury your child. Shame on you.

I'm not saying he is, but my point is most people don't go back to their own jobs right away in the way you apparently think they do, and whether you like it or not the fact this his "bloody job" is that much more high profile does make a difference.

IT'S ONLY TEENAGE WASTELAND!!!!!!!!!!

I always think of the film, The Girl Next Door everytime I hear it. "the juice is worth the squeeze"

My generation, what a sound. Would be amazing live.

Wish I was there to see Brian May. That alone was just legendary. It was like watching a god seeing all the people in the distant background while he plays.

No nerves whatsoever.

Must be something to go to sleep tonight and still hear his guitar in your sleep. As if it's still live.

And for the people that don't live in London ...

There are tons of hotel rooms empty in London at the moment (LBC did a feature on it). Book yourself in to a cheap hotel the other side of London - or just get the first train home in the morning at 6ish (I've done it before). It's not like a zero notice event - people have had time to plan how they'd get home (or not) taking in to account the timings and the prospect of it overrunning.
