Club 3D Intros DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 Active Adapters with 4K-60 Hz Support

What a load of codswallop.
Not granting what someone wants or right away does not make a delay unreasonable by nature.

That's what the chief@AMD said while viewing the migration figures.

I love how dramatic this place forum gets :p

All 2 or 3 of those people 'screaming out' will finally be happy. Screaming out, lol..

Lol, reading back does look a bit dramatic:o:p

Which still does not make any delay unreasonable by nature.
Any delay by nature is unreasonable as it's something no one wants, and there shouldn't have been any issues in the first place, for reasons stated above.

Brand image is king and that's why AMD/Nvidia are where they are.:)

Whether a delay is reasonable or not is circumstantial regardless of want or need, AMD does not make the adapter or the displays and Club dont make the displays and compatibility must be a real headache and i dont remember a date being given for the adapter by AMD and there has been no mention of it being delayed, so it is what it is.

I have been wanting to get a 4K monitor, and been looking at TV's for this purpose. Because no TV's seem to have DP on them realistically, I have been considering whether I should swap to Nvidia for a 4k Desktop.

These are kinda important to get out, and at a reasonable price.

I doubt very much there is hardly any users who bought AMD cards to use with HDMI 2.0 60Hz and were waiting on a 3rd party Adapter.
If HDMI 2.0 60Hz is what a user needs at the time of buying then you buy a product that has it if there are no Adapter available at the time.

There is more likely many users waiting on the adapter before buying an AMD card for HDMI 2.0 60Hz.

Bought several R9-290 series cards before the 970 hit the market with HDMI 2.0. Displayport to HDMI 2.0 adapters have been theorised and promised for a looonng time.

I'm not pretending that I represent a wide community, but I can tell you that personally having to drop AMD completely and start the GPU investment in that other vendor was a really bitter pill to swallow. Seeing that circus act finally coming to a close doesn't do much to clear the palette.
