So where are these now? I was obviously asking for these for the Nano I have, but somehow I was later to realising they were finaly released and now the rainforest doesn't have them in stock and only has some at absurd prices that might be delivered between the 30th Jan and 18th Feb?

OCUK you going to pull your fingers out and get these in stock or what;)

Anyone know if there is any difference between these and the Accell ones, or are they both basically rebrands of the same chip?

Not that it seems to matter too much at the moment as neither seem to be readily available anywhere. :(

edit: Also, @AMDMatt, any feedback/write up from yourself as to how you're getting on with your sample? Working as expected? etc.

Bought several R9-290 series cards before the 970 hit the market with HDMI 2.0. Displayport to HDMI 2.0 adapters have been theorised and promised for a looonng time.

I'm not pretending that I represent a wide community, but I can tell you that personally having to drop AMD completely and start the GPU investment in that other vendor was a really bitter pill to swallow. Seeing that circus act finally coming to a close doesn't do much to clear the palette.
you abandoned AMD because you figured 4k was agood investment with a 970? Should have at least got a 980ti if you're going 4k. I don't blame people for paying for what they want but lets be honest, a lot are just acting like children and 4k is still a pipe dream for most people with 970's being the most popular card and 1080p being the most popular resolution. Neither of these are near what you should be looking at for 4k realistically.

You should have waited a bit longer and got a better card if you really wanted 4k, it would have made sense for a better card in itself and by then the cable could have been out too. Still it's your choice but I agree with most, the cables are overdue but at least they're coming so people don't have to be so dramatic about waiting.

Hi,

Did you end up buying this adaptor? If yes does it work with the philips monitor? I have the same monitor as you.

Thanks,
K.

If I wanted to connect from a HDMI 2.0 source to a DP 1.2 and get the HDCP 2.2 to work could I do it with this adapter or would I need the input/outputs to be reversed?

E.g Connecting a 4k Blu-ray player or streaming device which requires HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 to my Philips BDM4065 which only has HDMI 1.4 and Display port 1.2 Inputs.

Oh really old post addressed to me. FWIW, I did buy a 980TI. Then I broke it. Now I'm back on the 290s and 295x using this adapter. I'm still bitter though. Maybe if AMD deliver ASW to my creaking old cards I'll forgive them, as that'd tide me over until Vega :)

Within the last couple of days my adapter just stopped working, but up to then it worked very well. I can't imagine it'll solve any HDCP 2.2 issue though. You need something like a HDFury Linker or Integral in there (which do deal with HDCP 2.2 very well, but cost a fair bit).
