CM MasterCase series, OcUK getting them in?

Looks relatively clean and simple, but after seeing the InWin 901/904/909, "regular" cases just don't do it for me any more.

+1
Been looking at this case myself. Reviews are coming in good.

I like CM cases, the HAF has been really good for the 4 years i have had it, have been looking for a case to replace it but nothing in a similar price range cuts it, always something wrong with others, HDD racks can't be removed and block the intake cooling, not enough or big enough fan fittings, solid front again blocking airflow, cheap tacky looking finish....

This one looks like it meets all my demands, just as the HAF 912 did.

Can you link me to the reviews you found please?

Thanks ^^^ Fantastic, beautifully designed, very well thought out... great Case, its definitely the one for me.

I got really excited that this would be a return to the ATC range level of quality, alas not. :(

I missed brushed aluminium, over engineered chassis and car body work level paint finishes.

Yeah, you can still get them but they get too expensive.

This looks like a Mid tower HAF replacement coming in at around the £80 mark, i don't expect top quality finishing in that range but i do expect good quality construction and a quality finish if nothing fancy.

More important to me is how well and thought-out it is inside, pretty much all £80 cases 'to me' fall short in that department in one way or another, this thing ticks all the boxes and more, i'd say its by far the best in that department, others do offer this level of design and practicality but only on their top of the range £120+ cases, quite deliberately i suspect.

Its about time someone like CM introduced something to shake up the Case market, make the rest think again about offering some of the practicality of their high end cases a bit lower down.

Ever thought about a Phanteks case? The pro and luxe are two well priced feature packed cases. Build quality of phanteks cases is pretty good too.

I'd be looking at Phanteks too.

After Computex I was super-pumped for the mastercase but as it took so long to release I cooled off. As per the OC3D review, the price is a fair turn-off as is the lack of upgrade options. I really liked the look of the tempered glass panel which unfortunately isn't available yet (if it ever will be).

I have gone for an mATX build instead but if I was looking at ATX I'd probably go with a Phanteks case.

There are plans for a lot of different accessories, this isn't just one product with the occasional item, but a whole range of items in the MasterCase range, with interchangeable and community inspired upgrades and ideas. Like tempered glass side panels, aluminium finishes, GPU support brackets, HDD cages, reservoir mounts, interchangeable front panels with USB Type C or a card reader or even USB over 9000 when it comes out, different panel finishes and colours. All interchangeable between MC5 models and some interchangeable with up coming things. I could go on.... This isn't about just one product and what you see now, this is our company ethos and a long term products.

@ Setter, yeah the Phanteks is a good case, its the one i would have bought, but i prefer this, this thing is just perfect, its like anyone who knows anything about what makes a good case has input on it.

Good Work on it :)

I like the idea of getting what you need and then fitting things to it to customize it or make it fit more to taste or needs.

I think it looks nice just a bit cheap looking. Im sure if they sold a "Elite" version with tempered glass front and side it would look a lot more expensive.

Yea totally understand the thinking behind this and offering a base model that can be upgraded to suit budget and needs.

Tbh ive never even took notice of any CM cases but this is a good step and I think if you guys can sponsor some builds with this case to get some expensive custom watercooled hardware in it with quality photos you will get more people wanting them.

I really wanted to like this case, but like others have said not enough "make it yours" parts it's not worth it atm. I was going to get either this case or the inwin 805. I decided to get neither. I went mini ITX in stead with Evolv ITX case. Very happy. I'll go back ATX next year. Let's see where the master 5 is then.
