I've just picked up two new drives from OCUK.

I'm ready to remove my old one and install these in raid 0, but do i need to reset my CMOS on my mobo before i start with the array, because that would just slow down the process :o?

Thanks.

Shouldn't need to clear CMOS, might find you need to select a hard drive config such as ahci/raid, then go through the boards raid controller setup unless using a dedicated controller

check the bios to enable the RAID, check the mobo to make sure you're drives are connected to the RAID SATA ports. when your comp starts enter the RAID controller, setup the RAID, reboot and start the windows installation, hit f2, install the RAID drives and then install windows as normal

Right thn... Seems pretty similar to what i had planned :D

Plug em in > Set up controller in Bios (Onboard Mobo 1) > Restart and Install windows.

Whats with hitting F2 may i ask? 1st timer :)

If Vista, just use the GUI and select the option to install drivers (even though it has built in ones, always better using most up to date official ones), if XP you need to press the F key to take you into the raid driver installation options
