They want me to be less white, but when I black up, I'm also called a racist. Help. I can't win.

My wife was part of a teaching course recently and had to answer some questions about diversity etc. When she revealed she had no BAME friends in her social circle it was looked down on and it was suggested she might want to reach out and make some.
I quoted someone who said people had signed off on this. It's clear some thought that this was okay. And yes there are many who don't speak up against this, I've seen it in the workplace. The article in the OP literally states they are facing mounting backlash about this, it's a myth that people don't speak out against this sort of stuff.

I just wanted to thank you for your wokeness by not assuming my genderHave you only just noticed this antagonistic little troll? All they seem to do is take the contrarian position to whatever subject is at hand in the hope to rile people up.
Sorry?

I can't believe your wife just can't make the effort to find some token black friends. How else will she virtue signal?
Racism has just been flipped on its head for whatever reason (division?), organisations like the Color Blind Society and rights activists like Martin Luther King fought for people to be judged by the "content of their character" and not the colour of their skin, the modern left are absolutely OBSESSED with doing exactly the opposite, sorting everyone into different groups based on race and ethnicity, treating people differently because of it and driving a wedge between them.
All of the talk by the left about championing minorities but they refuse to recognise the smallest minority, the individual. Not all black people need state aid and not all white people are privileged, treating black people like they all need help is demeaning if you ask me.
Just imagine if it was "be less black". Wouldn't the fallout be fun?
I mean personaly the story made me laugh but lets remember all the times 'white people' have gone on about minorities not integrating more and gone on about 'black culture' being prone to violence and crime and muslims being prone to terrorism. Im assuming that that is basicaly the same as telling them to be less '(insert culture/race)'Your basically saying that there is nothing wrong in telling people to be less white. It’s disgusting and grotesque, yet we stupidly put up with it.
Haha that hasnt aged well.
Im going out on a limb here but wasnt he talking about how black people are seen? So he was saying dont judge black people on the colour of their skin but by the content of their character?Martin Luther King fought for people to be judged by the "content of their character" and not the colour of their skin
I can only applaud you for some first-rate mental gymnastics.I mean personaly the story made me laugh but lets remember all the times 'white people' have gone on about minorities not integrating more and gone on about 'black culture' being prone to violence and crime. I mean it sort of sounds the same to me.
Not sure this is proving the point you intended but it's interesting to see, thank you.Sorry?
