Cockapoo ....

A warning though of getting one is that they take the intelligence of a poodle and are as energetic as a spaniel. ours is now two and can still be a handfull as he needs a lot of attention due to being both intelligent and energetic, they really need someone round with them most the time.

Thanks for the further replies.

Out of interest, how much exercise are you giving your dogs?

My wife unfortunately doesn't work (would love to, but health doesn't allow) so she is in the house all day ... unless she goes out of course !

Given that the Labrador x Poodle is called a Labradoodle, surely Cockadoodle would be more apt. Wonder what they called the Bulldog x Shihzu? Bullsh...? They are nice little dogs though. A friend has a cockerpoo and a cavapoo and they are very cute.

They usally get a 40-60 min walk most days and sometimes at the weekend we take them to the beech for the day, its more then they need but they enjoy it. :D

We don't mind where we need to get it from, this is a long term purchase !

I'll give that breeder a call. It's proving difficult to find many breeders who do all the right health checks (low HIP score for male, DNA clear on PRA for male (poodle) ideally female HIP scored, under 4 litters, not bred too young..... Etc)

Just lots of people out for a quick buck ...

i second that is why she got a cross and not a so called pure, myself i keep lurchers mine are gray/suluki x dearhound
