Coco's Cup is three!!!

Many thanks for the positive comments, first up cheers for the heads up on the vid link error Doonhamer. Bit gutted I fluffed it first time round!

/MM HillClimb (37mb) - Should be recognised by many as the HillClimb run of the Manchester Meet circuit. It was fairly foggy at the top! Baa! ;)

Ev0, Do it man! Two mates off here, BaJ (172 mk1) & Maccy (182 +cup pack) have both plumped for the Disc & Pad combo, while they've had some issues to begin with they seem very happy with them, I'll get some group shots sorted soon! ;)

Hate, it's the 172 Cup. Twin pipes were a 'new' thing introduced on the 182, sadly the 'stealth-pipe' used on the Cup is just standard pickings from the Renault parts bin.

Rimm3r, from mine & my mates experience on different motors they've always done us proud. However, my mate who prepares & fits kit for race-cars hates EBC products!
An amusing story of his was when his Noble outfit was sponsored by EBC using yellowstuff pads, which they found totally rubbish after one meet, so began using Mintex & painted them yellow so the EBC representative wouldn't spot the difference!

JayMax, MOT sorted but didn't mention as it's not very fun!

Tesla, for the 172Cup they use thinner carpetting & window glass, chucking in a floor-mat off the production line would be sacrilege!

Haircut, they are indeedy, good spot!

Berger, do you mean the HillClimb vid about 4mins45secs in?
I 100% agree mate, i've often gone round that with my eyes closed from fear of it 'sucking me in'! Top fun! :)

Liverpool-Lad, hehe, it was actually for my little bro's bday, thought i'd 'borrow' it first! :p

No, 2 mins 11 i think it is, you come over a crest into a left hander (traveling up the hill) which is slightly off camber and it feels like your just going to be thrown off the side of the hill, pooped myself completely first time as it was the day i had picked my car up as well.

I got all excited when you send Brembo discs but looking at those they appear to be the boggo standard OEM spec replacement Brembo's not the nice Brembo MAX ones :(

Haha! Hell yeah! I half-thought you meant that one!
If you listen closely i've backed off the throttle in anticipation for it, the speed in which the weight shifts to the rear of the car on that corner is mad & then you've got to sort it out for the right-hander flinging the force in the opposite direction.

If you've got a PS2 & Gran Turismo 4, I reckon it's exactly like Laguna Seca 'corkscrew' bit at the top of the hill, the track where Clarkson took that NSX around.

What have you got in there, they don't seem to fit that well.

Looks great.

But why not replace the rusted wheel nuts at the same time? Kinda ruins the look of the wheels a bit.

Did you sing happy birthday to it? :o

Looks fantastic mate, every time I see a pic of a really clean Cup I'm tempted to chop in the ph1 and get me one.

How much did the geometry cost you by the way? Could do with a full check/setup on mine as it's understeering far too much for my liking.

Worth it if you get it right though, cos' that right-hander after it can be taken at silly speeds :)

Car looks spot on mate, would you reccomend CarCare Express? The front end of the RS has seen better days and they are only around the corner from work.

Wow. I'm seriously considering this. My car got keyed in Liverpool a fair bit back and I've been waiting on someone to fix it (a mate of a mate) but it doesn't look like its going to happen now.

Yours looks superb :)

Does the tax disk up there not annoy you?

 sweet jesus coco now thats impressive its the cleanest i've ever seen your car, looks like new. finally got some new rubber ;) i remember MM3 they were pretty much slicks. Wouldnt mind another passenger ride come MM4 :)

Cheers for more top comments people! :)

Tesla, Just Halford jobbies which certainly don't go in perfect, sadly.
Once again, hoooge kudos for sorting out the OcUK-motors gallery which is being used to host the images. Star-man!

MonkeyMan, There absolute poop! I took every one off & sanded them down, within 2 days they were showing signs of rust again little buggers. I'll get them painted up while the weathers nice.

kill4thrills, I love you man.

GT3, Haha! But look what wheels the nuts are holding on :p

Trojan, Nudging £100 for allignment check/tweak & all wheels ballanced, what rubber are you running on the front & what's the wear pattern like?

Goliath, Joo know's it! And I know you show a lot of love for that left-hander that drops towards the ice-bridge which has the bump just before you turn in. A proper 'why hello there' corner! :)

As for CarCare, there rebuild work is by no means perfect but the respray seems alright, however it seems they prefer not taking bodywork off the car so check for overspray. For me, dropping the car off for a couple of days was much easier than getting chipsaway out & there priced to rival them.

Gilly, If you can find a few quid to get it sorted I would, bit of a shame leaving it like that.
As for the tax-disc location, it's certainly a minority who like it up there, but its something different & easier to bosh new one's into!

Cymatty, It was a few weeks ago! Gagging to go back, seriously rate that stretch as one of my fave's in the UK.

agw_01, Your not kidding mate! It's not a great car around town, on the motorway, has little luxury & is definately poop on a hot day, but when all you want to do is blast, hammer & rip your way around B-roads it does the job by the bucket load.
You've got shotgun for a passenger ride at MM'4 :) Same for thedazman67!
