finally got round to installing cod2 on my new system, my old one put it to shame and put me off playing it.

what a game, i was bored of army fps's but playing this has got me back into them. i have it maxed out and the graphics are outstanding. just thought id let you all know.

any word of cod3 for pc yet?

CoD2 is a great game! I completed it twice on Veteran! It was pretty challanging on veteran!

All I have to say is Hill 400 and The D Day Landings are near impossible on Veteran!

CoD 3 is only for consoles, but it wasn't developed by the guys behind 1 & 2. Apparently CoD 4 is gonna be on PC too, and is by the same team again.

I enjoyed the the single player on the first COD, but for some reason I've so far found COD2 to be pretty boring. I haven't got round to completing it yet, mainly because it can't hold my attention for long.

I found the Multiplayer to be just the same for both of them, just different maps.

Yeah, I got hole'a COD at a boot sale.

Best game I got for 50p ever!

I played it for 10 minutes and thought stuff it, Ill get some patches or whatever, and I found out that COD2 and United Ofensive were also vailable too, and so I bought them.

I too hate WarGames but this was great... Even if people did find the way they move a bit weird and why does everyone in the game have such large feet?

Never could get into MOH games and recently I bought Road to hill 30 hoping it was like COD and I suppose it is in a way, but I tried playing that one, and my kids were in the room so they watched me for a bit and the first thing that came out of the PC was "F" this and "F" off and so on... Oops! - ok, near to reality there I recon, but I should have paid more attention to the warnings! - hehe!

No COD3 = BAD

Glad to know COD4 will be PC... Thats great news.

COD 2 was the first game i installed when i built the latest rig. The last pc i had was a ready made "thing" and it was awful for some games, so after i built my custom rig i got COD 2 on the go i was amazed by the graphics and gameplay, it was only until recently i stopped playing COD.

Arent there reports that CoD4 is going to be a modern warfare game? Will be a shame if it is, cosidering there is still plenty of WWII they havent touched :(

Played COD3 on the 360, was not that impressed, did nothing new.

WWII seems to be getting a bit tired as a setting for FPS. COD4 in a modern setting sounds like a good idea to me.

CoD 2 is excellent to play online, better than the dry and boring CS.

It's so much more tactical, more places to go

Ive also played in eurocups with different clans and also im in team uk for nations cup rawr :>

And why dont they do the great war then?

I recon that would be a refreshing change as I cannot think of any FPS game at all thats based on WWI... Only Bi-planes.

I hope they dont turn it into a BF2 clone?

I hate BF2 and I love COD

If they do, then it will ruin it for me.
I hope it goes modern, because im tired of WW2 games, as much as I love COD2. But I wouldent worry about that, unless it goes online free roaming based with 64players and vehicles, it will be nothing like BF2.

Oh no, dont get me wrong... COD1, UO, and 2 are too close, so another one in the same territory as those would probably ruin the game... It has to progress.

Futurise it, modernise it, sure, do that... Im just not wanting it to go MOH, BF2, or RTH30. I got those too and Im unimpressed. COD was easy to get into for me and thats how I like games.

COD was just spot on for me.

Not sure if WWI is right for a FPS

Level 1 Attack some sandbags
Level 2 Stay in a trench and get trench foot
Level 3 Much the same as Level 2 but with bigger rats
Level 4 Avoid getting shot by your own side for leaving guard duty
Level 5 Over the top (game completed if you can see an enemy solider before being blown up)

How about a FPS based around the film Zulu :D

There are plenty of things they can do to add new dimensions to CoD without bringing modern warfare into it:

1) They havent touched the pacific campaigns, they could add entire islands and allow the player some freedom on how they go about completing objectives. Not to mention there are some big famous battles that can be recreated.

2) Give the player control of a full squad, either making the player issue commands or allowing the player to swap which chr they are controlling like some of the tactical FPSs around atm. The AI would probably need a little work with this though

3) Playing the Germans is something CoD has never touched before, although they probably wouldnt want the entire game based around them it would be nice to be fighting from the other side for a change.

4) Although not my preferred idea, they could easily add some "what if" scenarios, having the germans invade england with large battles in london etc. With some nicely mocked up black and white documentary footage this could be quite enjoyable.

Although im sure people wont like some of these ideas, I only took around five minutes thinking them up. Im sure given a decent amount of time The game makers could easily find ways of keeping CoD fresh without the need to add yet another modern warfare FPS to the market.

Headquarters is the best MP mode known to man.

Pure brilliance.

It's teams, it's objective orientated, has variety(hq's spawn everywhere), tacticts(defending possible hq points, protecting those starting an HQ and then not dying when the HQ has been completed as you don't respawn.)

Only way for a team to get points is to work together, so ramboing isn't too helpful(only one or two guys is useful, as otherwise the base gets destroyed.

I love that mode
