COD 3 in stock already

I love the way everyone complains that they keep getting stuck on missions and can't complete it in half a day and will then probably complain that it is too short when they do complete it. :D

Why is everyone in such a hurry to complete every game

Thats what i liked about COD2, it was soul destroying in places, but when i finally completed it on vet the satisfaction flowed free n easy ;)

tbh, i hope it does take me ages to complete in single player as far too many games can be "done" with in a few days on single player - more often than not its the achievements that keep people playing, imo this shouldn't happen.

I'll give in obviously and pick up COD3, but i really will be saddened if its too easy and i have completed it within a few days. The 360 needs some more challenging games like DOA4 - a game you you DEFINATELY cannot master within a few days - unless you are a DOA jedi, of course :)

I generally play most games this way, especially if there's an online mode as I prefer playing the online modes than the single player game.

i must admit ill play a game like that especially if its crap and if there are a few extra gamerpoints to be had. I can only think of a few times where i have been really challenged on the 360 to date: COD2 (several vet levels - defending hill 400 arghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!), tantalus in TDU, The survival achievements in DOA4 (getting totally owned by them right now), dead rising (getting 50 survivors) and of course my messiah - complete of scenarios on FIFA 2006 WC.

DOA4 is easily the hardest game in many respects on the 360; kudos for getting so many suarve :)

I remember getting to like 48 wins on Survival and getting beaten, was not happy :(

Gamerpoints, the bigger your gamerpoints the **** you are.

No, it just means on some games i'll focus my play order to get the achievements if possible - adds a sort of focus to your play. I'll admit that when people have 50 odd thousand its getting a bit silly, but if you focus your play and find out how to get the achievements (another aspect of the game for me since switching to the 360 from a PC) you'll find your gamescore goes up fairly fast....dunno what do you peeps think?

Just startign to try these survival achievements again and i simply cannot pass 47 for some reason. /me sets gen fu on fire.

EDIT: saying that though, i WILL get 50 wins in single and survival - gotta say anything higher is kinda outta my reach. I can hold my own online vs most players, but the computer is sorta the perfect opponent, as it remembers all your button presses :(

Anyone else having problems getting into MP?

Keep getting 'No game sessions are available' when I try & enter a room?

My NAT is open, & have forwarded ports 88 & 3074 & no change

Yup, dunno whats up with it. Get the same when I try and join a mate who is joinable too even when there are plenty slots on the session.
I got upnp on and its never been a problem before. I expect a patch will sort it out in time

I just got back from town and bagged COD3 from HMV for £37.95 plus points (I now have £5 off my next game). HMV really are the store of choice atm.

Hopefully they'll price up Gears of War next Friday for the same £37.95. Will be able to use the £5 voucher I got when I purchased Pro Evo 6.:D

Finally gave in last night and opened up my copy of COD3 after finally finishing off GRAW last night.

Seems like a pretty good game, i admit i didnt bother with COD2 but this one seems ok i guess. The cut scenes are quite funny especially the dialog that you get between the soldiers etc. Some of the levels are lethal ie very hard and u get too much happening at one time.

All in all enjoyed playing it for the few hrs i did, i dont think this will be too hard a game to complete by the looks of it.

I really am not sure about this game. I was thinking of trading in saints row for it (I completed it, but not tried multiplayer on SR, is it good?) cause I barely play SR anymore.

Is the game good? I didn't mind COD2, I played it about halfway thru on the PC. I am thinking of getting it on Friday with GoW :/

Superb game,, imo,,,, reaffirmed my faith in gaming, looks great,, plays great, atmosphere etc,, and bloody hard:)

Aye. Just finished the first mission on Veteran. Think I was a little rusty as it took me many attempts to get to the first checkpoint.
Seem to be back in my stride now. Definately more cinematic than COD2. Good stuff.

Just finished work and popped to my local Asda to pick up a copy. Got there and there weren't any on the shelf, asked a member of staff if they had some in the back and she said "don't think so, but i'll check". :(

Comes back 2 mins later with a copy in hand, i'm now sat here with it in the shrink wrap. :D Gonna have some fun on this tonight, sounding good from the things i've read on here.

I'm really enjoying this game and just had a breather from it!! Total drawn in with the excellent visuals and the amazing sound.

I'll be looking forward to some MP action soon, that's when I can also draw myself away from PES6 too.

The 360 is going from strength to strength with the latest games releases. :)
