COD Black Ops looks pretty good on PC

Would you of had the same opinion if there wasn't so much hype about the game and it didn't have the Call of Duty branding on the game?

I agree it had its problems but out of all the FPS we are getting on the PC these days, what was people expecting? Maybe PC gamers are expecting too much of the game because its Call of Duty.

Keeping in mind comparing to Call of Duty 2, Modern Warfare 1 and 2 I wasn't expecting much. After all, it was made by a different development team compared to the successful games in the series. So game play etc, would be slightly different.

I would have the same opinion if this were made by Crytek, IW, Valve etc etc My expectations were for a MW2/COD4 clone. I got a COD2 clone which takes several steps back by being so dated & boring.

This game reminds me so much of the terrible Mercenaries 2 port from a few years ago.......

All I was expecting was MW2, but with dedicated servers, new maps and a few tweaks to the killstreaks and perks etc.

That's all they needed to do.

How they could balls it up to this extent defies belief.

Just started the single player of this for the first time, playing at 1680x1050 with textures on high and in the opening video the packet of cigarettes on the arm of the person in the bar looks like it was drawn on a zx spectrum - are the textures in this games really that bad or is it a problem at my end?

It has some of the most horrible graphics you will ever see on a modern game. CODMW2/COD4 looked far better CODBO MP looks like a 2002-2003 PC game
