COD MW2 multiplayer crashes on load????

that reply there is based typically on a 'text book' reply.
In where they assume you have a bog standard machine that has an arthritic hamster in a rusty wheel as a processor :D:D:D

When i run MW2 at home, i often have things running on my desktop, one of which includes EVGA (mainly for fan speeds)
You mentioned that you have the same card in ur other machine, do you mean they both run red hot? - improve airflow.
how many GPU's do you run in your gaming rig?
How old is ur HDD, chip, mobo etc etc?
you need EVGA to run either during a game (or stressful application on ur GPU) to see its temps and see if they are within the GPU's limits, or failing that run it after a stress test.
The cure to your issue is only going to be found through trial and error im afraid :(
Let me know if the IW4MP.exe fix i gave works.

Also what is ur O.S? XP, Vista, W7?

I'm on W7. I have had 0 problems tonight since about 6pm and normally I would have given up by now, so all is great. The only real change is your audio suggestion so I think that might have gone somewhere to nailing it on the head. Time will tell.

My system is really clean inside. I have a Lian Li PC7-FW with a Corsair H50 on the CPU and because I'm not OCing at the moment with two rear push/pull fans exhausting over the rad as opposed to using it as an intake and use the front as exhaust. Only makes 4 deg difference and I'm not even overclocking anyway. Temps are between 50 and 60 for the CPU (Q9550) but the ambient is quite high as the room is very small and there's 3 dogs, 2 computers and 2 people warming it up!

Going to monitor the GPU temps. Had the card a long time 8800 GTS 640SC and had no issues really. Computer had some monitor off action not long back and the heatsink was red hot but so was the card in my other machine which has poorer airflow.

No, EVGA 8800 GTS SC. Temps were topping out at 85 load with the fan not going above 60% (no audible change). Seems about right. Might drop a cooler on that anyway as I've never tried clocking this card but I could really do with something newer, although I get 50-60fps on MW2 with it.

I've had 0 crashes tonight which is awesome. Shame I aint been playing too well!

Have a look at the antec spot coolers, i have one blowing on my 2 3870's and they are much cooler, i guess it depends on what ur side panel is like as my spot cooler draws air in from side vent
 
Nothing on the side panel, standard Lian Li PC-7FW window which I'm reluctant to cut. I think I'm going tot get an intake fan bay so I have two 120mm intake fans.

Today I decided that I wanted to see how under and overclocking my card affected temps. Under didn't drop too much. 5c maybe. Over, the idle went up a bit but load was more or less the same. I've gone from 576/850 to 650/1000. Also I have had no crashes all day. I think your sound recommendation has done the trick, much appreciated! Yes the pic above was pre CPU. I had originally bought a Q6600 but that was DOA so I had to wait and got a Q9550 instead.

Hopefully things keep stable, but BC2 is round the corner...
 
cod mw2 multiplayer not respoding

Pls help me when i start me game at cod mw2 multiplayer the game is not responding seens when i updated it using steam PLS HELP me !:) hope u can tell how to fix it tnx:)
 
Mines gone as well SP works but as soon0 as i fire up MP - its a black screen

if i run it in safe mode i get told that my localization,txt file is not present and i need to run the game from the same folder.

wtf indeed

i have verified twice moved localization.txt - verified again said it will replace it via dload - didnt do a thing just ignored it.

im backing up files now for a reinstall - i doubt anything will fix it as im 99% sure its a **** up in the latest patch
