I'm having a rant, so what. Call of Duty 4 is GREAT fun for the first few weeks but it lacks re playability. Spray, move, nade, flash, wallbang, spray more, run some more >_>.

Both teams can select all weapons, instant fail.
Wallbanging (penetration) is noob, end.
There is no head shots, it takes TWO bullets to make a head shot, fail.
Spray spray spray, this has been brought into the game.
Small maps, invites ridiculous nades.
Nuclear nades.
Slow weapon switch.
No long range fights.
Air strikes
Helicopters
NADE AFTER NADE

When i first played it i thought the game was amazing, flashy graphics - I'd go as far to say its something new.

But it has been dumbed down for the console tards, the radar is in one hell of a annoying place and all the useless crap all over the HUD.

I'm finding myself playing A LOT more of CoD2 because it has variation and it involves some kind of skill. In CoD4 there is limited protection due to Deep Penetration, anyone who says its a realistic addition WELL it isn't. Nothing is realistic about CoD4, its an arcade shooter made for a bigger market.

Some of my oldest gaming friends are starting to enjoy the older games such as CoD2 and playing less CoD4. CSS has more skill involvement than this game.

That is all i can think of right now /rant.

I Disagree with one statement on that. Hang your head in shame! And my god! those Airstrikes! The chopper that can shoot through walls/thick smoke/buildings. I mean cmon, if an airstrike can kill me inside a building and not do damage to the building AT ALL . . . . . .

Saying that, it is still fun to play with a group on TS.

Agreed, besides the fact i think cod2 is just as dumbed down. Cod1 was a proper pc game and imo had a better multiplayer component.

Have you ever played hardcore, with max 12 people in total?

Cod4 is so much better on hardcore, with no more ppl than max 16 total.
The less people better, best imo is 4vs4 hardcore. No nade spam, some long range shootings, 1 headshot= kill.

Hated CoD2 mp, that was nade spam !
Cod: UO was okay for the short time I played it.
But Mohaa is still the best shooter imo.

I agree cod2 was dumbed down aswell, but not as much as this game.

Cod1 and CodUO were the best MP games i ever played

I started on Hardcore, first server i played was HC mode.

I've played HC pcw's, they sucked just as much BECAUSE its one shot kill anywhere on the body.

There is no decent medium for CoD4.

Ill expand on my point.

If you shoot someone in the foot, then the head (immediately so noob regen cant initiate) then it WILL be a head shot.

Get an AK47 with Stopping power, aim it at someones head on Normal/CB/ED/i33 mode and it will not be a headshot.

I will never figure out why people think mohaa was such a good multiplayer game. Imo the only reason it got rated as highly as it did was it hit at a perfect time with the ww2 revival of a few years back. Would it suprise you to know initially the game had no mp mode and the modes it came with got slammed into the game during the last few months of development?

I actually like the mp mode but i really don't get why some people rave over it, it had numerous annoying glitches like if a guys leaning around a corner, he could position himself so you could se maybe a half inch of him, no gun no body just part of his clothing, yet from his perspective his gun and all is around the corner and he can shoot you easily. That really got on my ****, then we had the realism mods where everyone armed themselves with the combined machinegun\sniper rifle stg 44 and most of the other weapons got nerfed down. I enoyed it on stock servers, then "realism" became more and more common.

cod:uo > cod/cod2/cod4

There is no skill in cod4 at all, it's getting very boring, very quick. And I hardly play public server anyway!

could'nt have put it better my self;):)

One thing seems strange to me about cod4 and this is all these clans and leagues adopting it, is pc gaming taking a turn towards more and more simplified games? Is dealing with recoil and using grenades properly gonna become a thing of the past?

Thats a point i forgot to add, probably the main point.

No recoil.

In games like coduo and cod2 (lesser) if someone shot at you, you had a chance to actually kill them because the weapons were hard to control. Now that wasn't always the screnario, but it happened.

If you back is turned and someone shoots, you dead. Why? Because the recoil is non-existent, you have no chance. (COD4)
