COD4 vs COD MW2

They have changed the gameplay by making it more newbie friendly, It take a riduculous amount of ammo to kill people now.

Or a single headshot which seems stupidly easy with just about any weapon, as for the knife..less said the better, it amazes me how people can run through gunfire in close quarters, hit your big toe and you die instantly. instakill melee = beyond the realms of retardedness.

i agree its is way overpowered and pretty retarded

but it is really funny going around just knifing people especially with commando pro :D

i hope they nerf it later on in a patch or something but until they do i wont stop :p

Unless youve got strangely shakey hands and cant keep your gun pointed straight, someone charging up to your with a knife usually doesnt work.
And how does having to shoot people on target more make the game more newb friendly? I'd say it requires a bit more skill. Although from my experience so far, the require damage is about the same as cod4

Its not a matter of them always charging up to you its more a matter of going around corners where you have little time to react, if you get a few shots off most of the time it doesnt seem enough to take them down unless you're wielding a shotgun.

In small rooms though that commando pro thing lets them take you out from further away which can be annoying as well, ive rattled a few rounds off at someone only to be killed from a really weird distance.

Either way an insta kill melee imo is incredibly annoying. I can understand if you get a backstab or something with it but for them just to hit you anywhere and you die is slightly annoying.

Oh how defensive! You ask a question you get an answer you don't like so lets belittle it shall we.

Anywho, as many others have said... what did you expect, its a sequel, they tend to just build on what came before, which MW2 has done in ample quantities.

As I said, you have an entirely new single player campaign, an entirely new co-op mode, and a much improved and expanded MP game mode with entirely new maps...

What more do you want from them?

Your examples of L4D2 and BF2 offer no more than what MW2 has done.

L4D2 is new maps - check, new game modes - check, new weapons and skins - check, new enemies - check, new interface - check...

Same goes for BF...

EDIT lol why i post 3 rolleyes?

It would be totally useless otherwise

Other games have managed for years without having instakill melee weapons, what makes this any different? Im pretty sure it was cod4 that introduced this gimmick, from what i can remember cod1,uo and cod2 all had "butt smack" melee attacks that took a few hits to take the opponent down. So hows not having an instakill weapon pointless when the other games (and most fps games id imagine) do fine without it?

COD4 vs MW2?

I personally think that MW2, seeming to be better in almost every way, is generally worse.

COD4 really had a fantastic storyline, the characters within synced perfectly, for example, Gaz's little jab at Captain Price here and there and generally the whole plot fell into place far better. And also because I preferred the whole keeping the SAS and the American Forces seperate, something which MW2 and task force 141 really ruined...obviously in COD4 they combined at the end to make a awesome finale in which we kill a proper Video game Villian.. e.g. Zaetsev... compared to a bittersweet ending of COD6 which didn't give me the same satisfaction.

SAS are breach, enter, and are stealthy. For example, the Cargo Ship op.

The Marines were Gung-ho and guns blazing. The invasion of the City which name escapes me.

..

What really captivated me in COD4 is seriously lacking... and IW have tried to plaster fancy technology such as Heartbeat Monitor and super mad crazy gun-turrets in the place of pure gameplay and this it's main downfall in my opinion.

Maybe when MW3 is released it'll try and go back to it's roots and give it some pride again. Until then however. I'll have BC2 to mess about with.

One other thing I hate as well about MW2 is the fact that Gaz, (one of the best bits of COD4) voices Ghost... and his and Roach's death was a bit meh as well.. Everytime I hear it without looking at the subtitles makes me think Gaz is in COD6..

Would have been great if Ghost was actually Gaz, but even then Ghost gets shot by Shepard in MW2 then burnt with Roach. Lets hope he somehow survives and makes a return in MW3.
