** CODEMASTERS - GRID 2 - £22.99 - OUT NOW!!! **

This game looks totally optimised for gamepads. A wheel would be somewhat wasted on this. But if you are interested in trying some more serious driving games too, a Driving Force GT would be good place to start.

I used a gamepad on Grid and it was great, that was until my racing buddies all got wheels and started kicking my @ss after a few weeks. Don't get me wrong its not instant speed, it takes some getting used to but its definitely better in the long run. You don't have to get the most expensive wheel, I'm sure the Logitech Driving Force or something like that would suffice.

I hope the graphics aren't held back by being developed for aging consoles. I also really hope like others it works well with a wheel. Thanks to Logitech for completely replacing my wheel because of a snapped clamp! I've got a brand new G27 that's been sat in it's box for weeks begging me to play with it! I hope to break it in on this game :)

This better be good. Hoping this will replace forza so I can convince myself not to buy the new xbox just for forza. Only thing is I like having a massive choice of normal cars and upgrading them to be faster than race cars. And drifting.
it would also mean that I can just go for a G27 or T500 rather than having to get Fanatec so its compatible with xbox. Damn Microsoft.

Grid is not really in the same category as Forza... you may be disappointed. If wheel compatibility influences your console purchases, you may want to consider the PS4 instead (which is sure to support the G27 and T500), which is naturally going to see a Gran Turismo in the future - and that is an alternative to Forza.

In fact, you may get to hear about it... later on today.

I don't like the way MS decided not to support third party wheels, especially when they stopped making their own FFB wheel (it was pretty good but not amazing) and replace it with a floaty hand held thing.

I am hoping MS will take a look at Sony and allow the G25/27 and maybe the T500, although that is a long shot.

However Grid 2 I am looking forward to, just for another racing game to play.

£23? Very nice, would e the first PC game I have bought in an age!

Should be fine on:

E3570K
16Gb RAM
GTX 460TI

I hope! :)

PS: Whats in Race Day Edition as extras? :)

I cant see the graphics being bad. The graphics from grid (2007) are still today really high end. Thought it was graphically the best racing game on the market at the time , and it is still up there 6 years on.

this is what i can find from google

Indycar Racing
Includes the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway & Dallara IndyCar!
Containing 2 routes at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (not available in the standard game), the exclusive Dallara IndyCar and the IndyCar Pace car, both available in single race and multiplayer, plus a special online event.
GTR Racing
Includes YAS Marina Track at daytime & Nissan GT-R SpecV
Containing 5 routes at the YAS Marina Circuit at daytime (not available in the standard game), the exclusive Nissan GT-R SpecV road car, both available in single race and multiplayer, plus a special online event.

Yeah if it wasn't for the end of the online servers I would probably still play it, I can't seem to get into single player games, have to play online, more fun.
Destruction Derby was wicked after a nights racing, what a way to end the night :)
