COFFEE!!!!!!

Yesterday we had 5 hour chill session trying some of the finest experimental funk from around the world. I did not think coffee could reach these heights in taste, what an experience! Although, I was the only one on espresso, filter game was pretty hard with the other 3.

The water experiments were pretty interesting with Apex.

Not as much as @DarkShadow

couple of doppios every evening ... morning when I used to have the same now use the machine to steam a hot chocolate ...
which has opened a new pandoras box on cocoa varieties (none of this hotel chocolat ready made)

I drink more when I'm a work as someone in the office will ask if anyone wants a drink every 30-40 minutes.
On working days I'll have around 5-6 cups of coffee between 8am and 5pm, on weekends and days off I cut that down to 2-3 cups.

I try to limit myself to two cups a day, and always before 2pm. I currently have a Coffee advent calendar and trying a different coffee everyday - its awesome!

I tend to have a cup of tea first thing with breakfast (two at weekends).

I will then have one or two Aeropress coffees before noon and then I switch to decaf drinks for the rest of the day (usually redbush tea).

1 flat white in a morning and 1-3 filter coffee if at home or a couple of instant coffee if I'm working, previously I could easily end up 8-10 between work and home but I have had to reign it in and moving over to decaf after my current bag of beans in empty.

Primarily filter brews for me. Kalita Wave is used mostly, but will hapilly make coffee with Chemex, V60, Aeropress, Clever dripper, syphon, espresso, Bruer cold brew amongst many others I have. Usually only a couple a day now as well (unless doing some tasting sessions or prepping for the binge that is the London Coffee Festival ).

Don't have any coffee until I've been awake for a couple of hours either. I function better with caffeine, but can and will go without.

I don't drink much coffee at home but will occasionally crack out the Chemex.

When I'm in the office I'll have 3 - 4 cups a day, brewed with the Clever dripper if I'm at my usual office or a couple of cups of fairly iffy coffee from the machine if I'm in the other office.

One or two between arriving at work and lunch time; rarely later in the day, and rarely at weekends. I don't usually feel massively deprived without it, and over my two week Christmas break I don't think I had a single cup and felt fine.

How much coffee do you drink and how much do you need/rely on it?
I tend to make up a 1-litre flask, so I don't need to keep getting up and going to make a piddly little cup every time.
I sometimes go through 3 litres in a day, but on other days I don't have any. I haven't had any coffee this year, so far.

1 cup mandatory first thing in the morning (hand grind, Aeropress, nothing fancy).

I may have another mid-afternoon if I'm lagging a bit, or a tea or something instead, but generally just one or two coffees.

Don't like the taste of coffee, but do like to be in the room when a decent cup is being brewed, which doesn't really happen now I work from home.

They are indeed! It's more the footprint I'd like to reduce but not quite at the price difference.

This was my 2024 consumption. About 2 a day, 1 first thing with breakfast, 2nd early afternoon usually after work.

I'm immune to caffeine, so it's just a nice drink to me. I do drink a fair but though! Probably three to four mugs a day. Can't tolerate instant coffee, blah! Preferred coffee is Pike Place...despite the huge price increases of late.
You ever been accused of having ADHD? One of the reasons I found out I had it before being diagnosed was coffee didn't do much to me, and actually made me feel sleepy.

I only have one strong one first thing in the morning.

2 - 3 cups a day plus a coke zero in between :)

Sometimes I get headache if I don't have a coffee all day,

Hello my name is China and I am a caffein addict..... nice to meet you

Couple a day - I don't really need it for the kick, I just love the flavour and the routine of doing it. Other than that I don't drink anything else other than water (2+ litres per day). I'd drink more but you can get too much of a good thing, and it's good to do things in moderation.

once or twice a year, plus whenever one friend visits I get in some nice coffee as he lives off the stuff. Recently tried a japanese coffee, Ueshima Coffee Company Fuji Mountain Bold Roast Ground Coffee, which was very nice.
