coke and mentos

ahoy there

every one knows of the coke and mentos etc yeh yeh..
but iv been looking on youtube and 99% of the videos are american, and ere in england iv never heard of such thing as mentos, so is there such thing here or a english eqivelant?
i tryed dropping a treebor strongmint into a bottle of coke but it did absolutely nothing not even a fizz lol.

Sure my local store sells all varieties of mentos and Im in the UK.

They sell 'em in Boots. I believe it has to be diet coke, too. It's not what's in the mints, it's the pattern and size of the dimples on the outside of it, apparently.

It doesn't have to be diet coke, but they just recommend it.

Yep I've definitely seen them in Boots and other places. Might have to give this a go at some point, just because
