Coke or gin and tonic - what's worse?

Amusing all the sugar puritans in this thread, how many deaths are attributable to Aspartame Vs. the massive number due to type 2 diabetes?

Real men drink dark liquor.... Angrily! :D

Joking aside, I finally quit the booze last year back in May. I aint going to lie, on beautiful days like this I miss it terribly. I have a fairly high constitution for the stuff and could easily sink a bottle of whiskey in a day if left unchecked (only ever on the weekends). These days its coffee/water/7up Free from the soda stream. (booooooo!)

Back in the day Lagavulin being my weapon of choice or any of the Islay (Peaty type) Whiskeys.

Personally I’d have both.

Nothing wrong with a G&T and a slice of cake.

Banana cake, obviously.

So, how many deaths are attributable to aspartame? And I'm talking peer-reviewed scientific studies, not Facebook.

Diabetes is a horrible way to go, let alone the horrendous cost of dealing with it.

coke zero isn't very tasty and gin mixed with anything isn't ideal for me, mixer just prolongs the suffering so just the gin...drink it like medicine and get some form of hit/joy from it :p

So the weather's getting warmer which means my regular drink of water doesn't quite cut it when sitting in the sun in the evening.

What's worse for you? A can of coke zero, or a gin and zero calorie tonic? There's no alcohol, calories or sugar in coke, but there is caffeine and e-numbers and its a slightly bigger serving.

I only have one every other day or so, so I'm not concerned, just curious.

@Feek will be able to help out he likes his gins

Personally I'd just make a lazy long island ice tea....

Stick the gin in the coke :D Dash of lemon if yer feeling fancy

Tonic wise I really like the slimline one from Lidl and the one with a twist of lime for Asda, I drink these like "normal people" would drink pepsi or other fizzy pop

When mixing tho I think gotta be fevertree for me, and which one depends on which gin
