Cold roast potatoes

Because of this thread, I currently have roast potatoes waiting in the fridge for dinner tonight, alongside a cold pork and stuffing baguette.

Finished them about 30 mins ago, they're now cool and taste delicious. Om nom nom nom!!

@Theophany, they look more greasy than crispy?

I find they actually reheat quite well by putting them back on a baking tray for 15 or so minutes and prefer them warm, so occasionally do that if there are any left over.

Oil not hot enough when put them in the oven by the looks. I normally put a hob or 2 on and use that while i'm getting the spuds in and covered in it to keep it properly hot.

Man I want some roasties now.

Yeah, that's my bad. I didn't have any goose fat handy so resorted to olive oil which doesn't work anywhere near as well. Just end up dabbing them with kitchen roll to get rid of the excess oil. :(

break up the cold roasties a bit then cover with grated chesse and quickly melt it under a grill, the best snack ever.

GD, settle a bet. (Mod; poll?)

Cold roast potatoes, awesome or not?

I cannot get enough of them. I'll actually cook a sack of spuds so that I can have cold roast potatoes the day after. They're just so awesome, sprinkle some sea salt and eat it one mouthful - om nom nom nom nom!!

My grandma used to love them, but my mum says I'm not right in the head and one of my mates is convinced I've finally snapped having watched me eat a few. Surely I'm not alone in this??

It's not right, if it isn't a cake and it comes from the oven it should be eaten hot.
