Its the same for 80% of us, and that first woman tends to be our mother in the first year of life. Some people are lucky and just carry the virus and never express it externally.

Zovirax may help to prevent spread and can cut the severity of the cold sore a little, and possibly its duration by a day or so, but now it is visible it isn;t going away until the body takes care of it.

Zovirax real use is at the tingle stage prior to expression of the cold sore itself, if got at that stage it can prevent the outbreak. You will be much better off masking the actual coldsore with concealer or one of those sticky tabs, as either way, you're going to be stuck with it until it is gone.

and yes... you have herpes, so avoid oral sex with any partner for a while or the other external mucosal surface can get infected, and no one wants it down there.
 
Zoviraz doesn't work for a lot of people (including me - even if i get it at the tingling stage)

What does work however, is Lysine. And avoiding salt and nuts. Most GP's won't tell you that (as they aren't briefed on the causes of herpes flare ups)

But if you need more info - try googling lysine and herpes. It really is a cure. And if think you are getting a cold sore - just take 1000mg of this this Amino and it stops it dead in its tracks (without the need to plaster on some stupid cream)
You can thank me later as most consultants would charge you 250 for that little secret ;)
