Cold today = muchos performance?

I don't have an intercooler and a cold day makes quite a bit of difference before knock sets in.

it would depend on their respective compression ratios.
the higher the ratio the more of a difference you would feel running it on a cold day.
after all a turbocharger basically gives the effect of a huge compression ratio.

i don't think a blanket statement can apply in this case and, to the best of my knowledge, the difference will vary from engine to engine.
