Coldplay to split?

A spokesperson told NME.COM: "Coldplay are not quitting. They are on the road until July, when their 16-month 'X&Y' World Tour ends in Japan. They will then continue working on new material."

:( so close...maybe the killers will split and kill themselves soon...y'know, as a consolation for us not losing coldplay
 
In the Brits thread I called it a result that Coldplay were to split, thinking about it I don't care all that much either way. They are bland and inoffensive providing they don't have a new albulm out to mean they get maximum airplay. I'm actually struggling to think of any bands that I really hate any more, none of the ones mentioned above generate any more than apathy but that may be a good enough reason to hope they split.
 
Sounds good to me, now we only gotta get blunt, buble (sp) and will young to take a trip the the bottom of a quarry with concrete boots on.
 
If someone will donate funds i will quite happily set fire to them

Im willing to wave an actual fee so its just a case of materials
 
I suppose its all down to taste in a way

What i hear as depressing lyrics and general tone of them you hear
as just dark and gloomy all personal preferance of course

Would be boring if we all heard music the same way and all had the same emotions :)

I agree with you on coldplay...but not REM and RHCP!

They are both brilliant bands imo

RHCP used to be a good band, but after they stopped taking drugs and became a bunch of tree hugging panzies, well lets forget about their current style, much like coldplay infact.

REM, hmm well better than RHCP now, but still, far too many cauliflower smoothies,
 
doubt they will break up, will just take a long break. Im a big coldplay fan, started back in 99 when i nicked parachutes on cassette from my sis, went to see em in newcastle in december, great show. They need a break, so they can write some more good songs
