The sunny scenario is if we're happy to work with what's in-channel, there's such a huge backlog of software to consume, a myriad of esoteric hardware similarly to play with. AI cuts both ways, it's going to focus large manufacturers to chase supplying the AI market with compute, but AI will allow small / independent developers to write new software more quickly than they otherwise would putting out AA quality games that wouldn't have been possible 6 months ago.
As enthusiasts we're going to have to work hard to support the merchants and ecosystem around us and keep them afloat until the pendulum swings back to personal compute (and it will, people are going to want AI on device not in the cloud - simply put becuase it puts them in complete control, already our cloud AI overlords are saying what we can / can't do at the margins and as they start chasing heavier and heavier returns for their post ipo shareholders, they are going to turn the screws).
