.com, .co.uk or?

Anyone know how easy it is to change the use from personal to business of a domain? Can I buy now and change the use later when I am ready to start the business?

If it's a .uk domain, you'd probably want to do it properly through the transfer process - £10 for a single domain (see here)

Gandi for the registrar. You can't get a .uk without also having the .co.uk anyway so that's a moot point.

.uk is only available to the person who owns the .co.uk if already registered, if no .co.uk equivilent is registered, then you are free to register the .uk.

Ok, I'll rephrase that to you can't get any .uk worth having because the .co.uk will already be registered :p

Annoyingly I own a .org.uk, but not the respective .co.uk as it is owned by someone else and sat there doing nothing. The .co.uk owner hasn't used their .uk right to buy, but I can't get on and buy the .uk as they still get first dibs :(.

I registered a few domains this year without privacy and i got about 3-4 calls from indian firms offering me SEO. One was a bit suspect starting the call by saying that they are registering my domain for domain searches and wanted more information.

besides its best to get the .com because people are stupid and will put .com in regardless.

OP what is your business if you don't mind me asking? :)

Infinite loop?
