Combat squirrel's new 8800GTX and GTS overclocks in here! DATABASE Thread

This little table is of use when working out clockspeeds.
There's quite a few steps (these are also present on the GTS) when pushing core clocks. The clockspeed you set isn't always the one you get.

Assuming you only want stable results (and how stable is stable?)

Very interesting. Do you know whether this applies to memory speed also?

No, memory speed you get what you set :)

These speeds are multiple loops of 01/03/05/06/AM3 stable. I've not gamed at these speeds, so they might not be rock solid.

That is an idea, but I fear it would overcomplicate the thread, as soon as you start posting 3dmarks people will want to know rest of system configurations, so you would have to add, cpu, ram, board, etc which would mean hours inputting data, lol I personally also think that while 3dmark is good, its not amazing as a measuring tool, I only saw a 300 or so point increase in 06 for my o/c, also people would have to clock down, run 3dmark, clock back run 3dmark so is time consuming

Like I said I think its an idea, but a seperate 3dmark with your 8800 thread would be better --- Unless LOTS of people vote it in to be added to this one ?

I wanted a clear cut thread purely to give people an idea of what sort of clocks they can expect with 8800 cards, something to aim for if someone gets one, but like I say if lots of you want to add system config details on and 3dmark details ill def do it if theres enough support, but wouldnt change or contribute o/c amounts achieved by the 8800 cards :)

EDIT: Updated

COMMENTS: Most achieved nice o/c so far, however some fairly random memory overclocks, those with little or no memory overclocks do they definitely fail over say 2000 ?

How about just putting the 2 gfx scores and not bother with the CPU score?
I know i would like to compare the graphics performance of my card mto toher peoples purely in graphics terms rather than with my lowly cpu score also included!

Hey,

Could you please update my clocks? I have managed to get 660/2040.

I need to work on taking the heat out of my case. I was thinking of being pretty sad about it, and using some cardboard to duct the heat out of a spare PCI slot.

(I am talking about from the vents on the card cooler itself).

I got the idea from someone on this very forum :D

You have my 8800GTS clocks as 660/2040 but I run my card at 650/2000, could you edit them please?

I don't know where the 640/2040 came from, maybe from another user?
