Although it is common sense I think you mentioning about not deleting the WUs was well worth pointing out. Although it will only apply really to bigadv units for most people, lets not forget that it is all for a good cause and research not just "points".
 
Yeah that is understandable but then they are not really your points but a team effort.

Trust me, it is a lot more rewarding making the big milestones from your own efforts alone...
 
We can't physically stop you folding for Stompy after the event, but it is rather unsporting. We will also likely disregard any achievements you make as it would be off the back of the whole team.

Fold under your own name. If you have a decent rig and can whack out a decent PPD you can still have a fight. In fact, most of the fun is in PPD, not the total points. Though more is better when stomping! :D

Ok will do, my only rig is as per sig, what do you reckon i could get out of that?
 
I think Stompy should come out to play every 3 months

as for the end of the event as long as every one stops their clients prior to midnight on the 1st of january and adds in the -oneunit flag. after each client then stops they can reset them to thier own username and passkey for thoose running SMP clients

This way all the wu's issued to stomp will be completed and none of the precious science is wasted.
 
I gave the same advice in my updated post, les. :)

Fact is unless you are watching your clients like a hawk, one is bound to grab a WU either just before or after the end of the event. The oneunit flag will prevent this - assuming people remember to set it on their SMP/Bigadv clients some time on the 1st! :p

GPU isn't as bad since most WUs only take a few hours anyway.
 
Pande groups is good for me, seems like it would be a more robust donation if we all donate together on behalf of the team and Stomp_Monster. By donating direct to Pande we have more of a relevant story.

As the donating page has a section for Special Instructions / Other Designation:

I think we should use a common statement when donating - so that it's recognised as a team effort.
