Combined Folding/Bully Biffa Event!

Not as much as it was when I had 4 x GTX470's. I've set on a project of getting rid of gfx cards for folding. Going CPU only on bigadv.

Would love to, but Im not around when it is about to dump a WU. Which means losing at least 12-14 hours. Its all about the science at the end of the day!
 
Well why make do with one "when you can have 2 for twice the price"

For the record and i realise i may incur the wrath of many Lian-Li Armorsuit no likey likey :(

You can switch in the middle of a WU, science will still be done. You just won't get the points. :p
 
Don't you get some of the points? As it uploads at certain intervals throughout? Or is that just my wishful thinking....
 
Just added in 24 opteron cores to the mix only half the board populated and not bigadv (not even in a case) but worth about 20k:)

If i add any more to the board it trips the HX1000 psu:eek:

Need some pcie-atx12v cables not coming till tomorrow maybe wednesday:(
 
Its an H8QGi-f supermicro quad G34 opteron:)

Ive got four 6176se's to go in,two in at the mo with 16gb ram:)

Only got it today and done a quick and dirty install to get it running,only just started folding on it about 1/2 an hour ago:D

But i got the processors about half price from Korea, still not cheap tho:(

Hope it will pull some serious numbers on bigadv,a similar setup with 6168's was putting out 170k.(workunit dependent)

6168's are 1.9ghz and 6176's 2.3ghz, over 48 cores i should see an improvement:)

Now showing 30k on hfm smp24.
 
Nice, sounds like it could work out well.

Well that is two i7 920s @ 4GHz running BigAdv, 1 x GTX295, 2 x GTX260s running Stomp_Monster. Although at least one of the GTX260s will be pulled tomorrow. My three GTX460s coming out to play some time in the next few days.

Nope :(

I switched two of my bigadv over mid WU and neither my account nor Stomp_Monster got the points.
