Come at me England

I think that is what you intended.

Nope. That's what you might think, but the exact same 'meh' thing could be applied to most Scots. Neither of us really care anymore, but the people who do are the ones that voice it so loud it drowns out the people who don't care.

I would have to say the error is yours, I never said it was a main component.

When you wrote that English "came from your French overlords mainly.", I read that as you saying it was the main component of English.

I think that wasn't an error.

Ha, i can't tell you the amount of times i've had to put the TV on mute as soon as bagpipes start playing after the poor dog's traumatic experience as a puppy :(

I dont know any Scots who hate or even care enough about England or the English to make a statement about it, most of us are happy the way the situation is.

I wouldnt put too much credence into Psycho Sonny, he has an identity crisis of his own and supports a terrorist supporting organisation (Celtic), like most Celtic fans he is happiest when he thinks people hate him and there's a conspiracy to get them all.

Talk about confused!

Correct :)

I live and work in the Highlands. Everyone I know of is happy with the way things are and have nothing against the English (including me)

As for the whole Rangers/Celtic thing.....frankly it's embarassing.
I view most Celtic and Rangers fans as non educated idiots looking for an excuse to start fights.

You should see Inverness when Celtic are playing ICT...the town is crawling with cap domed freaks who look like they were spawned by lurch and Supergran. The stereotype of the "ned" holds true in my eyes.

Don't get me wrong, I love my country. I think Scotland is one of the most beautiful places on the planet (coming from a Gaelic speaking background, I have traveled most of the country) but I seem to find most peoples view of the Scots dominated by Football (Celtic etc) or the deep fried Mars Bar (which I have never even seen...)

Finally, a sensible intelligent person's opinion :D Almost all English people feel the same way about Scotland and the populace. It's a lovely place and together we have done amazingly well over the centuries.

We should be celebrating the advantages and successes of our union - not picking through history to score points over each other

I agree with you, Forde

Sadly, it's the minority who shout the loudest, and It's difficult to undo centuries of ignorance and "dislike them because I told you too" attitudes

Every town is the same mate, Paisley sees more buses leaving to Ibrox or Parkhead full of knuckle dragging automotons when theres a perfectly good local team to support.
