Anyone lookin forward to seeing this?

Mixed feelings about it myself as the original was great and there was nothing more to tell of the story really. Plus there all about 40 years older so not really going to have their spark as they once had in their prime. Still if it manages to make me laugh then its done its job i guess.

Id link to a vid but not any trailers etc worth it really.

Coming to amazon prime in dec.

I'll watch it but I'm not sure I hold out too much hope as I love the 1st one so much, was gutted when staying in New York this Feb we were in the The Maxwell and found the Waldorf Astoria backed onto it, it's closed and being renovated in the Waldorf Astoria Towers

I realise it's all subjective, but I've never understood why so many people rate the original so highly. It's not even on the same level as Trading Places, 48Hrs or Beverly Hills Cop.

For me this was the last real “classic” Eddie Murphy film and the last one of his I went to the cinema to see. It’s not as good as his earlier films but it’s a lot better than most, if not all, of his subsequent films. Saying that, Another 48 hours is a good film, I did enjoy Life and Bowfinger wasn’t too bad a film.

Just seen he's got Triplets (sequel to Twins with Arnie and De Vito) and Beverly Hills Cop 4 coming up as well, both could be terrible, hopefully they put some effort into both.

Eddie Murphy has had a weird career, he was a cutting edge mega star in the 80's. Beverly Hills Cop was a 15 rating but had still huge appeal for much younger kids most of whom loved the song Axel F as well. His stand up career was pretty influential and acclaimed too.

I think he's great in Trading Places, Beverly Hills Cop 1 and 2, Coming to America and a few others, but he's had some real turkeys and stinkers along the way.

Given it's still an Eddie Murphy film, and looking at his recent career (Pluto Nash, Meet Dave, Tower Heist, Haunted Mansion anyone?) I have no expectations of it being good.

Shame, I love the original.

99% of Hollywood remakes now suck as they only remake for two reasons. The first is cash, The second is to change the cast and make it political. Not once have i seen it done for the love of a film.

Calling it now, 2/10.

I just hope we get the same quality funny or surprising bits. I mean will akeme still be needing "wipers" or the "the royal p... is clean your heiness". :D

Also what happened to the rose barers.. :D
