Try and play the original for a few hours and you will see it would require a bit more then just graphically overhaul.

Personally I would like to a RTS game that could successfully blend C&C generals with Supreme Commander's scale. For me the RTS genre is one that hasn't appealed to me for a few years, I'm not into Starcraft, Rome 2 has more bugs in it then a dodgy Chinese take away and the recent C&C games are just plain bad.
 
I have played 134 Skirmish's in the last 2 weeks so more than just a few hours and yes it will require a little more than a graphics overhaul but the base of the game is there, much bigger maps/higher viewpoint/more structured base building/better money making opportunities but it wouldn't take much from the huge team they wasted on that pile that they got us to beta test
 
Aww they cancelled it? I tried it a month or so ago and I didn't think it was that bad... Ah well, planetary annihilation is the only RTS left on my radar right now then. Oh, and the remake of homeworld, whenever that arrives...
 
Gutted i was looking forward to this so much it was untrue gens ZH was my favourite rts ever and was looking forward to getting into the beta but obviously my application wasnt good enough lol
 
Was actually looking forward to this too. It seems like half the new games I have an interest in are cancelled.:(
