Red Alert has tiberium... Generals didn't :)

Red Alert is a prequel to C&C Tiberian Dawn - set around the cold war era.
 
dont you just love it when they release games in no order at all :D

C&C rocks, unfortunatly my PC wouldnt be able to cope with this... i dont think, may have to get a new rig or somthing
 
This sounds like it could be quite promising - i'd be really pushing it to try and play through a few of the C&C games from the first decade pack in time for the demo but i might give red alert another go - started it ages ago but other things got in the way!

Red Alert had iron ore and crystals, I don't recall Tiberium being in it. Though its been some time. There was a sorta GDI which combined British and American forces vs the Russians. And the same in RA2.

Basically from what i gather, time line wise...its Red Alert (which has a small cameo of Kane in it) RA2, C&C and then C&C 2 - Tiberium Sun.

All of them i loved, though C&C was ace as the nuclear bombs really did damage. I had one launced on me during the final missions and it wiped the base out. RA1/2 the nuclear bombs maybe blew up two buildings.

Can't wait for the demo!

Damn you're right and yes I think it's been a while... It looked like a variant of tiberium on the game :/ At least it "felt" like you were harvesting tiberium. Generals didn't have that at all.

i think there was a reference to Tiberium in RA

something in a cutscene about them finding an strange crystal substance or something like that

cant remember tho been ages
 
All the actors lol - the guy from StarShip Troopers and of course the cylon from Battlestar ... not to mention Lando Calrisian (sp?) :eek: :cool:

I always liked the ingame videos - just like the ones from Tiberian Sun - they were quite good ... this is shaping up to be just like those

i just found all of the levels really boring and i didn't care about my troops :p , red alert 2 : YR and c&c covert operations were the best of the bunch
 
I was going to upgrade my pc just for this game, however my old one packed in last week so I am sitting here waiting with my core duo and 8800, oh this better be good.

Generals would have been 10x better if they just left the naval bases in.

15x if they included the engineers.

20x if they left the ******* dogs in.
