Command & Conquer 3 Demo, Next Week!

Looking forward to this demo.

Was very close to preordering supreme commander due to all the positive press but I didn't really like the demo so saved a few quid there.


Hopefully I don't like C&C3 either cos I could really do with saving the money :p
 
Subscribed. Always look forward to a C&C game.

Expectations are high, so here's hoping the game works out.
 
Been watching the EA forums in the hope the demo would go live today.

Seems it's not going to. I'm willing to wait though. :D
 
"February 20 update: Sadly the date WP reported was unofficial. EA clarifies: “A lot of confusion has been stirring about the release of our demo. For starters, it is not releasing today. We should have a public demo news alert going out very soon that will explain exactly when the demo is coming out. All I can tell you is that its looking good for sooner than later.” We’d expect the demo in the next week."

So it's not coming tomorrow but they will let us know when it will, and it looks like the announcement may well be today (or tomorrow for us UK'ers).
 
Can't wait for the 30th of March when the game is released.

Hopefully the 8800GTX will be a lot cheaper by then.

OK....so, glad to see you guys are excited to stay in on the action...just because we are taking 15-20 min breaks in our day to play in a dev team tournament does not mean the game can be ready any quicker or the demo. Thats a moot point.

My money's on Friday, but it at least looks like EA are trying to make a good job of the demo, and make sure it's ready before they release it.
 
Was hoping it would be out today, but can't see it happening now. Suppose it could happen later on tonight, anyone with a FP account and has the demo reserved, has the date changed on it?

You don't have to do a thing -- your Download Manager will do the work for you. Sometime this weekend it will pre-load the demo to your hard-drive, locked and encrypted. You won't be able to install the demo until the official release, but you'll be all set to go. Keep your Download Manager running!

Don't mess around with the pre-loaded file. It's encrypted, and if you delete anything (even that folder labeled "junk"), it won't unlock correctly.

STEP 3: The Download Manager Will Unlock the Demo Automatically!

Sometime early next week, the Command & Conquer 3 demo will be released to the public. The moment that happens, your Download Manager will unlock the file for you, allowing you to install it. As a FilePlanet subscriber, you'll be the first to play that sucker! Bask in the glory, my friend.

I just leave it in download manager and it'll get it when its out!
