News about EA's Command & Conquer: The First Decade has been posted here before, but a short description for those that don't know about it:

In 1995, the original Command & Conquer helped define the real-time strategy genre. The franchise then continued to innovate for the next 10 years with cutting-edge visuals, epic storylines, and complex missions. Celebrating the anniversary of this innovative franchise, Command & Conquer The First Decade features a dozen classic C&C games, plus an exclusive bonus DVD of commemorative videos including a rare interview with Louis Castle, co-founder of Westwood Studios and the creator of the Command & Conquer franchise. Whether seeing where it all began with the original Command & Conquer or engaging in modern-day warfare in Command & Conquer Generals, this is a unique opportunity to own a piece of history and experience the past, present, and future of Command & Conquer.
Features:

The ultimate collection features 12 Command & Conquer games on a single DVD.

Just had GAME's newsletter and noticed that it isn't a bad price for the whole bunch of C&C games (though there may be better prices at some other e-tailers if it's up for pre-order).

Its out in the USA anad ive been reading some forums and it all apparently works perfectly on XP  MP with RA and CnC1 apparently doesnt work out the box but there are some unofficial patches/tweaks that may get it working. Just preordered myself.

*sigh* a typical half assed EA job - fixing them to work with xp, but not fixing the multiplayer. A double sigh really, I know I'll buy it anyway!

The games have been reworked on the installation front end for modern OS's btw, so every game will run perfectly. Everything has been untouched. Was listening to a recent podcast from Westwood about it, and it was quite indepth. Looking forward to this, about the only pc game I'll buy in 2006.

Got a link to that podcast? :)

Also, does anyone know if they've stripped out all that old bloated multiplayer software? It would be really cool if you can just type in the IP of the guy you want to play with and it "just works".
