Nope.

He finally had enough of some of the pathetic asshat fanboy bickering posts, and decided to call it a day. I think the last thread I saw him post in was one where Stig1 was just arguing like a retarded little kid, twisting words, and just making it painful to make it through the thread.... that was the last straw, as they say.

EDIT: I'll drop him a mail and let him know he's missed... maybe he'll come back to this thread! :)

EDIT2: I know he built a gaming rig recently, and not sure he's put MSN back on there. I think he's lost in WoW again at the moment ;)

I think the Dons need to see this thread, If some of the idiots are actually stopping people posting here, and Some good Characters too. Something definitely needs to be done.

I agree, Ino, Kreee and Wyrdo were all good contributors.

Some people need nuking from orbit

I've only recently got involved in this forum (probably about 6 months i've been an 'avid' poster). Is it really in that bad a state? I haven't had the experience to know better, or is it just one of those things where people always preferred 'the old days'?
 
Theres not enough activity in here to warrant a Don dedicated to it imho. Been very quiet..hardly any new and interesting threads created.

If they were to make a don my vote would go to either msmalls (hes always very unbiased and informative ive found) or nikebee for his *cough* 'state of the console nation' speech.

The two unfortunately go hand in hand if I'm honest. This thread has proved that the most notable users from this forum have been pushed away by the state that it's in.

You could say that those were the users that created the interesting topics to talk about. Getting rid of the garbage we're having to put up, with invariably bring back the quality of threads and users with it... unless I'm mad and we'd be left with no posts at all of course :o

Still... the bickering would be gone :D

That really isn't the case. Consoles has some fantastic people whereas GD is full of people up their own rear-end who think they are Gods gift or just post rubbish topics all the time.

95% of the threads here are brilliant threads that are only brought down by a small percentage of wasters who happen to frequent this section.

Either way, it's not as bad as PC Gaming.

It's the second or third busiest section on Overclockers.
Msmalls isn't unbias, he is, but he doesn't go around in a bad way like several other posters around here. He's my preferred source of all Sony information.
 
I always find the guys in pc gaming very helpful, its a good forum, theres less bickering i think as we all have a common interest.

Perhaps its time to split console gaming in the subsection, or at least have a filter option.
 
Every thread seems to be about 'needs this patch', 'needs this config', 'fps' or simply mentions of piracy.

Rarely people seem to want to talk about the game any more for being a quality title, but more 'runs better on 'x' graphics card', or 'better with 'x' config/mod'.

It really does need a larger presence of administration. Their are some good posts though and I do have a look at all the threads when it's late before bed :p.

Selective reading :).
I avoid the performance threads mostly ( not always though), but the piracy is annoying, too many people whine about it imo ( but nvm bout that)...

I have avoided the console forums purely because of the xbox vs ps discussions, and the pure lack of interest in most of it's games, the games that do interest me, mostly come to pc afterwards :). Besides mention piracy here, and people give you a harder time than in pc forums iirc that was the case bout a year ago when iirc I brought something up...

But ohwell here you see threads about costs of hard drives or updates of xbox live or some otehr things too, every forum had it's boring threads :).

Perhaps it's just a different market all together in PC gaming? It's all about getting things to run smooth, look better etc... Maybe they're all off having too much fun playing/tweaking their games than to come in here and say "ZOMG you bought it on the WHAAAT!?" :p
 
I always see Kreeee posting here. Why are people saying they miss him?

On topic, I know there are some silly arguments on here. But I think it is fine really, maybe I just miss out on all the ****.
