This is partly my point. And the fact that people only hate child abuse and child abusers because they see the affinity for it in themselves.

to OP: If it bothers you that much shower at home. The term "exposing yourself" was incorrectly used. Flashing in the street Vs Showering in a communal gym is hardily a fair comparison
 
get it out and flap it about tbh.

if people dont want there kids possibly seeing naked strangers they would take them elsewhere. i wouldnt be trying to hide behind a towel while getting changed / dry.

if its totally innocent then tough if they dont like it they no what to do

Although they are thought of entirely differently, the actual results are exactly the same.

Similarly, you wouldn't find many girls willing to walk around in their pants and bra, but do so in a bikini on holiday. Same thing, really.
 
I suppose ill just have to take the plunge and get them off, I'll get over the embarrassment eventually I hope :P

One other quick question, Why do women always get separate cubicle's?

You seem to be making a fairly large assumption about people there and you should be rather careful about that. I hate child abuse because it is likely to ruin a childs life, they cannot give informed consent to such things, not because I can see any attraction to it.

Having to shower in a communal area shouldn't be an issue, I can understand why you might be embarrassed but there isn't any need to be, everyone is in the same position so to speak.
 
I dont go to a council gym but mine has shower cubicles without doors and the amount of nancies that try and hide their todger is unreal (not that Im looking mind LOL) End of the day we all have one!!
 
I've got a good age old (well not that old) debate starter about a similar topic to this.
I would post in here or new thread but i think i would get banned for it as no doubt it would start a war.

For a lot of people it is true. They turn the latent distaste and hatred they feel towards their own desires outwards onto others, then it's far more easy to deal with. It's a subconscious thing.
 
our gym changing rooms and showers are single sex and open plan so everybody is naked.

I think we have a hangup is this country about nudity tbh.
