Yeah I completely missed Abed's background story too the first time!

I remember only noticing that halfway through the episode, at first I thought the background stuff was just because they'd decided to change the plot of the episode and not use those bits, but when I went back through the episode again and looked out for it, I was rather amazed.

Finished season 2 today. Good lord those paintball episodes are so ******* epic.
