Community Fibre

CF in this thread means Community Fibre, and I think you're talking about Cityfibre. Community Fibre don't wholesale and their agreements with MDUs are pretty lucrative, I doubt they're getting acquired any time soon because they just aren't a good fit for a wholesale provider with a national focus. In the same way Hyperoptic have avoided being an acquisition target.
Ah yes, of course. Beery Sunday strikes.

i've been waiting for community fibre to install for the last 2years, the road next to mine is live but they have overhead wires.

they've put a fibre cable onto my property (without asking) through a duct with a blue rope attached to it a few months ago but i dont think its connected to anything on the other side

My understanding is fibre network is underground. Then that feeds into the utility polls where they connect it to a black box on there. Once that is done they can install to any property that is covered by that utility poll.

My underground work was done what feels like ages ago. March/April I think. Those guys just left a roll of cable tied to the utility poll. Only today did they come and install a black box and on the utility poll and use that roll of wire to connect the box. The wiring is nice and neat now.

They did say a couple of weeks. But I am thinking it might be quicker.

I dont have any utility poles on my road though everything is underground

Loads of people go on about it. But I don't do port forwarding, so why else am I going to have an issue? I just want fast speeds for browsing and downloading.

Underground work was done months ago, but today they finally installed the black box on my utility pole. Should go active soon :D

1GB here I come!
What does this black box look like, I swear something in my street has been done recently. Perhaps we live in same street. Lol.

Im not to worried when it comes though as signed up to VM for time being on the 500mb service, good enough for me. In 18 months time I will see the lay of the land.

edit/ might even be bt fibre, as they were doing a lot of work in the street last month, then recently some pavement got dug up and cables coming out the ground into a utility pool. Now have a huge roll of cable hanging on the pole currrenly.

Looks like a little black box. Most utility poles seem yo have at least one or two from what I can see. Will look for a picture for you when I can.

Something like this:
