Noticed yesterday some things weren't loading properly, either very slowly or not at all. One example was the Deliveroo app, while the site in the browser was fine, the Android app was stuck on the splash screen. Using a custom DNS didn't work, but enabling VPN did.
Also noticed on the PC some sites didn't detect I have IPv6. This made me decide to try disable IPv6 on the router and boom, it fixed all connectivity issues.
Based on previous comments... Is CF fiddling around with IPv6? Hoping it'll go back to normal after a few days.
At least with VM they don't even have IPv6 so don't have to worry about thatHad this yesterday also. Images on certain websites would take ages to load. I put it down to something dodgy going on with CGNAT.
Have had a few small issues like this with them. With Virgin it always worked.
We might be selling and buying a bigger house soon so might end up back with Virgin anyway as only half the houses I have shortlisted have Community Fibre and all have Virgin
Guys how long does it take to install Community Fibre?..I've checked and it's available on my street in London, my Virgin BB expires 1st March contract wise, so thinking of giving them 30 days notice at end of Jan, does CF take more then 4 weeks to get up and running from applying online?
What has your experience been like time wise?

When I joined I had a pick of install dates ranging from a few days later to a couple of weeks so I just picked one that suited me.Guys how long does it take to install Community Fibre?..I've checked and it's available on my street in London, my Virgin BB expires 1st March contract wise, so thinking of giving them 30 days notice at end of Jan, does CF take more then 4 weeks to get up and running from applying online?

I forgot to update, but about a week after I found out IPv6 wasn't properly working any more (no issues since install in June all the way to Dec), I noticed my CF connection went down. Restarted both modem and router, decided to turn back on IPv6 and everything was working completely fine again.I think VM do have some form of IPv6, there are a few threads about it here and how its caused major issues for many especially with 3rd party routers or with pfsense/opensense etc
Disabling IPv6 apparently does not work either, it can break the connection or cause other issues.
There is another thread where someone mentioned VM tried to enable IPv6 and found it wasn't working right so left it or partially removed it so it would not break more connections, but this could just be hear say talk not sure.
I hope if CF or VM do IPv6 they do plenty of testing and trial and error!
I’ve not had any issues. I like you couldn’t initially port forward but I queried it with them and they have switched me over so that I now can.How is everyone’s experience with CF so far? I've had it since around August and no issues, except I can't port forward but thats fixed by a tunneling service. I see a lot of bad reviews on some of these networking forums for CF, but I havent had any issues.
Stuck with the provided router since it's pretty decent for an ISP supplied one (Linksys Velop MX4200). I'm not using the WiFi (using UniFi APs instead for coverage reasons) but when I did test it, it was around ~800mb when in the same room.Guys thanks for the feedback, btw are you using your own router or the supplied CF one?
Own routerGuys thanks for the feedback, btw are you using your own router or the supplied CF one?
I’ve only got 150mbs and they gave me a CF branded Linksys MX5500. I also have an MX5600 as a Wi-Fi repeater.
